The MT Chi Alpha Committee is receiving resumes for people interested in becoming the Director of Chi Alpha Campus Ministries at the University of Montana in Missoula, Montana. Chi Alpha has been at UM since 1987. In this time there have been two Directors: John Engels (87-02) and Scott Barnett (02-current). This is a flagship Montana campus of about 12,000-15,000 students, the second largest state school in Montana. UM Chi Alpha has a legacy of being a consistently healthy ministry, promoting a small group culture, raising up numerous student leaders, and sending hundreds of students on missions trips over the past 30 years.

In addition, the MT Chi Alpha Network is quite strong with Chi Alpha on seven campuses in Montana and a very vibrant, relational network among MT Chi Alpha staff. The Montana Assemblies of God churches are very supportive of Chi Alpha and there are two AG churches in Missoula that both support UM Chi Alpha. There is also a strong network of supporters in the Missoula community.

We are looking for a Chi Alpha Internship graduate with at least two years of previous Chi Alpha staff experience, who is both highly strategic and Spirit-led. Resumes will be received through March 31, 2018. We will conduct a phone interview, assessment, and in-person interview with viable candidates in April and May with the goal to make an appointment of the next UM XA Director by July 1st, 2018. We would give this Director nine months to a year to raise additional support, relocate to Missoula and transition into the Directorship.

Please submit a ministry resume (with at least three references) along with a cover letter of intent by March 31, 2018. Email resume with cover letter to MT Chi Alpha State Director Scott Barnett at If you have any questions or would like more information please call Scott Barnett at 406-239-4069.
