The Chi Alpha Assessor Network partners with Chi Alpha Pioneering to ensure every Chi Alpha group is lead by a competent director in order to see a healthy growing ministry on every university campus. Assessment Coordinator Brad Novosad will guide you through two days of training to continue the journey toward National Certification as a (PAS) Ridely Assessor. You must have completed a beginning training prior to the advanced training.
The Profile Assessment System was developed by Dr. Charles Ridley who conducted a study of church planters in the United States and Canada. His subjects in the study represented 13 Protestant denominations. Based upon his research and subsequent field-testing, he developed a list of 13 prominent performance dimensions. For over a decade, these dimensions have been used to select church planters.
The assessment is an interview conducted by a Certified Lead Assessor with a proven track record of objectivity and accuracy in identifying candidates ability to demonstrate the 13 characteristics in their past. The interview is done with both spouse and candidate and focuses on past behavior as a predictor of future performance. The candidates are asked to relate up to three examples from their past that demonstrate the thirteen areas.
The assessment returns a composite score of a possibility of five points in each of the 13 areas. It is not expected that any given candidate will prove effective in all 13 areas. The assessment will produce a report of the candidate’s strengths and potential weaknesses that can be used for further development.
The training will take place June 22 from 9 am to 6 pm and June 23 from 9 am to 3 pm.
