It’s not one-and-done. It’s team work.
Helping someone connect with help isn’t the finish line. Checking in to see how they are doing a couple days later speaks volumes. Put it on your calendar or set an alarm on your phone so you don’t forget. You get to support them with prayer and encouragement. The only way they will know is if you follow up a few times. Your phone call might also be the last little bit of encouragement they might need to take the next important step. If you’re able, offer again to help them take the next step. Sit with them while they make the appointment online, make the phone call with them, or access the other resources they need. Your encouragement will help them move towards the help that can bring healing.
