Give-a-Year Opportunities

The following give-a-year opportunities are at the National Chi Alpha Ministry Center in Springfield, Missouri. A give-a-year would likely come onto the team as a missionary associate and differs from the traditional CMIT intern. More opportunities will be posted over time as they become available.

Graphic Designer | Full-Time

Mission: To design and develop relevant and compelling resources for print, social media, websites, and other mediums for advertising and communication.

Required Skills: Ability to create content for digital and print purposes.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design brochures for promotion, information, and events.
  2. Design and layout Chi Alpha Connection Magazine.
  3. Design elements for ChiAlpha.com and other websites that XA Communications manages.
  4. Develop visual content for social media posts and campaigns.
  5. Design for booklet covers and any layout elements.
  6. Design for postcards and other mailing materials.
  7. Design for merchandise.
  8. Help with miscellaneous tasks and projects that arise in Communications or elsewhere.

Project Administrator | Full-Time

Mission: To assist the Communications and Marketing Manager in project development.

Required Skills: Ability to organize, manage, and follow up on all communications projects.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in coordinating projects that come in via the Communications Project Request page.
  2. Assist in keeping track of the development of all communications projects.
  3. Communicate with our team about projects and their needs.
  4. Assist with the coordination of meetings, filmings, photo sessions, etc.
  5. Assist with projects as needed. (e.g., Camera assistant in a filming session).
  6. Help with miscellaneous tasks and projects that arise in Communications or elsewhere.

Web Designer/Developer | Full-Time

Mission: To design, develop, and maintain the best websites and webpage content for Chi Alpha.

Required Skills: Ability to develop web content for websites, provide maintenance when bugs or problems arise, and advise on future needs and new items that need to be developed.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop new content for chialpha.com and other sites that Chi Alpha owns.
  2. Provide maintenance for chialpha.com and other sites that Chi Alpha owns.
  3. Provide research for future web developments.
  4. Create forms for our website as needed using Gravity Forms.
  5. Upload new items to the resource library on chialpha.com.
  6. Help with miscellaneous tasks and projects that arise in Communications or elsewhere.
