My name is Austin Mangham and I am an AGWM missionary to the Netherlands. After a year and a half of running from missions, I yielded to the call of missions at the start of my last semester at Sam Houston State University. It was during my last year at Sam Houston that I became a small group leader and saw God work through me to reach and disciple others. It caused something in my heart to shift. Because of this, when I sat in a missions service and heard in my spirit, “Austin, will you follow Me to the nations?” my answer was yes.

Chi Alpha students gather together at Sam Houston State University where Austin Mangham attended college.

It was through Chi Alpha that I was prepared and able to learn hands-on how to find people and build a small group. Chi Alpha is where I learned how to feed others spiritually through having a true devotional life of my own. Chi Alpha instilled a conviction in me, that cultivating true and deep relationships with others creates a soil bed for planting the seeds of the gospel. I have found these three things crucial for missions work, allowing you to reach and disciple, regardless of a platform or stage to speak.

I am grateful for Chi Alpha and for everyone who has supported and continues to support Chi Alpha!
